Shawinigan → Saint-Victor-de-Beauce: heading for Beauce

The famous skull, Harley at Harley, mining landscapes and people happy to see us at the end of the road.

Told by HarleyShawinigan · Bécancour · Thetford Mines · Saint-VictorTwo motorcycles, two humans, one dog

After our first day from Clermont to Shawinigan, we got back on the road for the second stage of our trip.

Destination: Saint-Victor-de-Beauce, where we were meeting the gang for the Bikers Québec directors’ ride.

But before leaving Shawinigan, my humans obviously had one last idea. I should have been suspicious.

The famous Shawinigan skull: yes… we did it too

If you spend time in Quebec biker groups, you have probably seen it: the famous Shawinigan skull. After seeing so many rider photos in front of it, my humans decided we could not leave without taking THE photo too.

When I started seeing it in the distance, I understood. I could not believe they were bringing me there. Once we arrived? I had had enough.

Still, LàLà pulled out the camera, Lagertha picked me up and there we were in front of the skull like everyone else. We officially became part of the joke.

Yes. We took the famous Shawinigan skull photo too.

Toward Trois-Rivières and Bécancour

After our photo stop, we left Shawinigan toward Trois-Rivières, crossed the St. Lawrence River on the Laviolette Bridge and continued toward Bécancour and Saint-Grégoire.

Then my humans spotted something that can make them completely forget a schedule: Bécancour Harley-Davidson. A Harley dealership on our route? Of course we stopped.

Harley walks into Harley

This stop became even more special because I was able to go inside the shop with LàLà and Lagertha. Harley at Harley. We had to do it.

I did not take long to make new friends. My humans were supposedly there to look at motorcycles, but I think we all know who was getting the attention.

Our experience that day: Harley was allowed inside with us. This does not guarantee that dogs are always accepted; confirm directly with the dealership before visiting.

Mountains shaped by mining

We continued toward Thetford Mines and the landscape changed. Huge mountains shaped by mining activity appeared in front of us and dominated the view.

LàLà drove. Lagertha filmed. I supervised. This is exactly why we like leaving the fastest roads behind. The GPS wanted to save us time. We gained a landscape instead.

A fuel stop that turned into an encounter

Near Saint-Daniel d’Adstock, we stopped for fuel. Normally: fuel, pay, leave. With me? Not always.

The owner and some employees came outside to meet me. They loved dogs and had never seen a little guy like me travelling on a motorcycle with all his gear.

Our simple fuel stop became an unexpected meeting. You can plan the route, but you cannot plan every person you will meet along the way.

Arrival in Saint-Victor-de-Beauce

After the roads, landscapes and encounters of the day, we finally reached Saint-Victor-de-Beauce and Manoir Historique Route 66.

Members of Bikers Québec were already outside waiting for us, including L’Curé and Isa. Before unloading anything, we shared a big hug. A road trip is not only kilometres, motorcycles and scenery. It is also the people waiting at the end of the road.

Back at the Manoir for a third time

The Manoir was not new to us. This was already our third stay. We met Marcel, the owner of Manoir Historique Route 66, and Caroline again, both familiar faces we were happy to see.

We stayed there on the nights of July 3 and 4, 2026. The next day, another adventure was waiting for us: the Bikers Québec directors’ ride. But that is the next chapter.

Our Shawinigan → Saint-Victor-de-Beauce motorcycle route

Shawinigan → Trois-Rivières → Laviolette Bridge → Bécancour / Saint-Grégoire → Bécancour Harley-Davidson → Thetford Mines area → Saint-Daniel / Adstock → Saint-Victor-de-Beauce.

A Quebec motorcycle road-trip day with everything we enjoy: the Shawinigan skull running joke, Harley at Harley, secondary roads, mining landscapes, an unexpected encounter during a fuel stop and friends waiting for us at the finish.

In the end, the best memories are not always the ones written on the itinerary. They often happen between two destinations.
